Not Enough Time?

So Singaporean

One might say that Singapore’s identity is best encapsulated by three things: scrumptious local food, the tissue ‘chope-ing’ (reserving) system, and tongue twisting abbreviations (we even have a Wikipedia glossary dedicated to them).

Survey: 1 in 5 Singapore workers claim ‘ghostly’ workplace encounters

Hungry Ghost Month starts this August. According to Chinese tradition, this is a time when Hell releases its ghostly denizens into the land of the living.

So if you regularly work overtime, watch out: Nearly 1 in 5 (17%) Singapore workers claim to have encountered or heard others encounter the supernatural in the workplace — right here, in modern Singapore. In addition, Master degree and N/O-level holders are equally and most likely to claim a personal encounter.

Survey Results: Tales of the night (shift). Singapore workers share ghostly encounters at work

Shifting shadows and eerie brushes of cold winds. Could they be tricks of the mind or something more daunting? The latest online study conducted by JobsCentral, from May to June 2013, asked over 3,500 Singapore workers if they have ever experienced supernatural incidents at work.

Nearly one out of five (16.5 per cent) workers reported having personally experienced or hearing of supernatural occurrences at their workplaces.

Survey Results: Are you a saver or spender? JobsCentral Survey reveals the savings habits of Singapore workers

Most Singapore workers are not setting aside enough from their monthly paycheck. This is despite moderate improvements in saving habits, according to the latest online study by JobsCentral. The nationwide survey, conducted from August to October 2012 among 3,299 working adults, discovered that that more than half (55.5 per cent) do not save above 20 per cent of their monthly income. Even so, a slight jump was observed in the proportion of employees indicating that they are saving more.
