Informatics, the global leader in providing lifelong learning services in information technology (IT) and business management, has a full range of courses from Diploma to Professional Certifications to Degree and Postgraduate programmes to offer at its 600,000 sq ft full-fledged campus.
One of the latest and largest among the private education schools in Singapore, Informatics Campus is strategically located at 10 Science Centre Road, five minutes walk from the Jurong East MRT station.
The campus, which can accommodate up to 15,000 students, is equipped with campus-wide wireless and broadband Internet environment. Students and staff need only to plug a wireless LAN card into their notebook computers to gain connection to the campus’ local area network. They can now easily surf the web for the latest information, engage in online discussions with their peers, and access e-mails, anytime, anywhere.
“The campus is wonderful! The regional library is just a stone-throw away, and the greenery creates a quiet ambience that is very conducive for studying. I intend to continue with my Masters programme here after my Degree programme in IT,” commented Ms Nguyen, when asked about how she felt about the move to Informatics Campus.
Other modern facilities offered by the campus include 80 classrooms and computer labs, five lecture theatres, a library, and full sporting facilities such as two football / rugby fields, two badminton courts, two basketball courts, and two tennis courts, available to students’ use for free!
“We believe in nurturing future leaders of tomorrow. Besides focusing on academic excellence, we recognise the importance of a holistic education. The campus environment will provide a good platform for meaningful interactions and business networking,” said Dr Michael Teng, Chief Executive Officer of Informatics Group.
On the academic front, courses are conducted by way of flexible learning, including the traditional classroom (both full-time and part-time basis), web-based interactive learning (e-Learning) and a blend of both approaches, to cater to the different schedules of the students. To further suit the needs and interest of individuals, Informatics offers a wide range of programmes such as courses in Information Technology, Gaming and Animation, Engineering, Business Computing, Marketing, Accounting, and Psychology.
With centres in more than 50 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, Middle East and America, qualifications attained are internationally recognised and accepted by employers for employment. As most courses offered in these centers are identical, students can also apply to the Universities for credit transfer to continue their studies in another country or state, even if they were to relocate.
“Informatics is well-positioned to provide value-added services for students to earn prestigious foreign degrees. We believe that the Informatics Campus, will further help to strengthen Informatics’ leading position in the education landscape in the world,” added Dr Teng.
