Interesting science

Here are some interesting interpretations of nature from test papers and essays submitted to science and health teachers by junior high, high school, and college students around the world. Spelling is left as it is.

“When you breath, you inspire. When you do not breath, you expire.”

“The moon is a planet just like the earth, only it is even deader.”

“Dew is formed on leaves when the sun shines down on them and makes them perspire.”

“Mushrooms always grow in damp places and so they look like umbrellas.”

“A fossil is an extinct animal. The older it is, the more extinct it is.”

Infinite wisdom

An angel appears at a faculty meeting and tells the dean that in return for his unselfish and exemplary behavior, the Lord will reward him with his choice of infinite wealth, wisdom, or beauty.

Without hesitating, the dean selects infi nite wisdom. “Done!” says the angel, and disappears in a cloud of smoke and a bolt of lightning.

Now, all heads turn toward the dean, who sits surrounded by a faint halo of light.

One of his colleagues whispers, “Say something.”

The dean sighs and says, “I should have taken the money.”

An English lecture

A professor was lecturing his English class one day.

“In English, a double negative forms a positive, such as the phrase “not unfamiliar”. But in some languages such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language where a double positive can form a negative,” said the professor.

A voice from the back of the classroom said, “Yeah, right.”

Back for seconds!

It is inevitable that JobsCentral Career Fair 2007 had to follow after over 20,000 visitors passed through the doors of last year’s inaugural JobsCentral Career Fair. With 53 exhibitors and over 5,000 white-collar vacancies advertised last year, expect this year’s career fair to be double the excitement as the exhibition hall will be able to accommodate two times the number of exhibitors compared to last year.
