In an ideal corporate world, the one most deserving of a job promotion is the one who puts in the most hours at work or produces consistently outstanding work. Unfortunately, the corporate world that most of us work in is splattered with shades of grey.
If you’ve ever been passed over for a promotion which went to, in your opinion, someone far less deserving, you are not alone. Many a lunch topic conversation has centred on colleagues in the office getting better treatment than you or getting promoted before you even though said colleagues allegedly spend all day surfing Facebook.
